Very interesting concept. The pizzas are unique — they’re square rather than round. You choose the flavors, the staff cuts the pizza with scissors, and it’s weighed so you pay by weight. The taste is authentic and far from the typical commercial flavor many people are used to. I definitely recommend visiting this place and experiencing it for yourself!
If you’re looking for fast and affordable food, definitely try Bonci Pizzarium. They have a great variety of pizza slices and also several fried items, so there are plenty of options to choose from. The queue was quite reasonable when we visited and moved pretty smoothly. There’s no seating inside the shop, but you can easily eat just outside, there are benches and platforms nearby where you can sit and enjoy your food. A perfect spot for a quick, tasty bite while exploring Rome.
Bonci — featured in episode 2 of Netflix Chef's Table (pizza series). Al taglia slices with creative toppings and heavily R&D'd dough. What we tried (4 pizzas + 3 fritto): 🍕 Margherita — classic, juicy tomato, milky fior di latte 🍕 Sauteed greens & almond — comforting, like a vegetarian version of classic friarielli Salsiccia 🍕 Yellow tomatoes with olives & capers — *WINNER* great kick of acidity, saltiness, briny notes, balanced with fresh herbs 🍕 Meatball — Melvin's fave, generously topped, meaty, indulgent, nonna vibes All 3 fritto were uniquely different, worth a try. No reservation. Queue can go over an hour, so avoid lunch/dinner peak. We went at 5pm and got served within 10 mins. Few indoor tables, nicely conducive.
One of the best pizza shop in Rome. With varies pizzas in lots of different combinations, you can select multiple small slices to enjoy. By weight from €30-45 per kg, and for each slice cost around €4-5. They are all freshly baked and absolutely delicious. There is a similar shop in the foodcourt nearby Rome termini, but it just cant be compared. Highly recommend.
lots of different pizza types, we got the zucchini flower one and the meatballs. Both were not impressive - felt like they weren’t flavorful enough. The variety was good though. They had lots with things like iberico pork and sardines The fried wagyu rice balls were too salty but interesting. Very crunchy.
