Iconic triumphal arch built to commemorate Napoleon's victories, with an observation deck.via Google

A monumental neoclassical arch commissioned by Napoleon, offering the best view of the twelve radiating avenues of Haussmann's design.

Good to know
€€; do not attempt to cross the chaotic roundabout on foot; use the underground pedestrian tunnel instead.

Amazing. Loved it. Brilliant views of the city (fraction of the cost of the Eiffel Tower) and really loved walking around the top and soaking up the 360 views. Uncrowded and really great must do place to visit. So much history to learn about it. Lot of steps, so be warned. But there isn't a rush

Standing at the Arc de Triomphe felt surreal after seeing it in so many photos, and it was even more beautiful in person. I didn't do the climb to the top, but just being there and taking in the monument was a memorable experience. If you're planning to go up to the observation deck, I’d recommend buying your ticket in advance to save time and avoid waiting.

In our trip to France we visited the Arc de Truomphe twice. Once in the later evening and the other time just before sunset. The sunset was a great time with the panoramic views. We visited in the office season, so the lines were not too bad. At the time it was 16 Euros per person to go to the top. It is a multi step process. Purchase your tickets, then move up to the ground level and get in line to make the trek up. You will have to go through security. From there you will go up the spiral staircase (approximately 200 steps). This takes you to a open area, more steps to the next level, and more steps to the top. Once on top it is a spectacular view. Enjoy!

Visiting the Arc de Triomphe at sunset was an absolutely beautiful experience and perfect for taking photos. The view from the top is spectacular, and it is definitely worth climbing the stairs to see the city from that perspective. A great tip is to check the exact sunset time in advance and arrive at least 45 minutes early. This gives you plenty of time to pass through security and make your way up to the top so you don't miss the perfect moment. It is an amazing experience that is absolutely worth it!

Visiting the Arc de Triomphe was an unforgettable experience and one of the most iconic moments of my trip to Paris. The monument is absolutely magnificent, with impressive sculptures and extraordinary architectural details that honor an important part of French history. Standing beneath it, you can truly appreciate its scale and symbolic significance. Climbing to the top was definitely worth it. The panoramic views of Paris are breathtaking, especially the perfect perspective down the Champs Élysées and the surrounding avenues radiating from the monument. The atmosphere around the Arc de Triomphe is vibrant and full of energy, making the experience even more memorable. Overall, a must visit landmark in Paris historic, majestic, and offering some of the best views in the city.
