Went for a solo lunch and was greeted with great enthusiasm. The calamari salad was way better than expected- crisp, light, refreshing. The house made gingerale and limeade spritzer were both incredibly refreshing. I got the T-bone steak and it was PERFECT. Not over seasoned. Cooked to perfection. Ended with the chocolate mousse. Honestly a perfect meal. I’ll be back!

Keens, the legendary, consistently serves remarkably tender, flavorful, and perfectly charred Prime Porterhouse and Mutton Chops. While there are many great steakhouses in New York City, we firmly believe that Keens is the one and only nostalgic steakhouse that truly embodies the essence of a classic NYC venue. Carson D. and staff warmly welcomed and greeted us with the distinct charm of New Yorkers, who are fiercely down-to-earth, deeply unpretentious, and a great friendly attitude. It will always be our top choice when we’re taking our special guests for a traditional steakhouse dining experience. Tips: Reservations is a must, as it’s super busy and packed even on a Monday night! We made our reservation 30 days in advance ensuring our long-distance visitors get to this unique experience! Don’t forget the cheesecake and baked potato serving with butter or house made sour cream, which were a classic representation as well!

My friend tried the mutton chop and I had the pan seared artic char. My friend enjoyed his mutton chop and the artic char was good as well. The vegetables that came with the fish were somewhat bland and bitter. The shishito peppers appetizer were well seasoned and fresh. Best part: the desserts! They have a fantastic key lime pie and a great hot fudge sundae. The hot fudge sundae is a classic sundae with a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of chocolate ice cream, fresh whip, hot fudge at the base, and a wafer on top. It's the best hot fudge sundae I've had (ever, I think). Seating is difficult to get so reservations are highly recommended. Bar seating is first come, first served, and can easily be a wait of 1+ hours during peak times.

From the minute you enter the ambiance transports you to a time life was enjoyed in simple ways,I ordered filet mignon and it was the most delicious aged medium rare I have ever had, come with sides of your choosing, creamy spinach and mushroom was my best choice and I loved it. You do need to make a reservation due to the high numbers and popularity of the place,if not you can be seated at the bar area which still is amazing with great bar tenders that make a mean cocktail of your choice. The second day I ordered the same it was was as delicious as the first time, this will be my spot for dinning everytime I visit Manhattan for sure. I forgot the name of the bartender he is tall dark and goes out of his way to make sure you are catered for,he made me a mojito that was so good I tried other places and it never did taste as good as the one he made for me.

Went to Keen's Steakhouse yesterday. As someone in the restaurant business, I’d personally never send fries out like that — they really should not be served cold and too soft. The steak was also a bit too dry. We’re steak lovers and never waste food but we didn’t finish it. To me, I didn’t feel like it came from a steak house kitchen. Felt like it was from a microwave. That said, I really appreciate the restaurant and the fact that we were given a great table and good service overall. The atmosphere is still excellent and full of history. One highlight for me was the thick bacon — that was really good. Also, great wine selection, I loved it. Just a bit of constructive feedback, because I do respect the place and what it stands for.  If you cook with heart, it will show on the plates.
