Tito’s is a SoCal institution in Mexican food cooked with love! I’ve been enjoying Tito’s for over 20 years - and it is always affordable and I love this place! Here’s how you Tito’s if you are traveling: after you land at LAX, you get your car directly to Tito’s! Park under the freeway, or closer if you can. Stand on the yellow line, and they will call you to the window. Two tacos with cheese! It comes with chips and salsa - it’s a great deal! Now they make your tacos - you can even watch them fresh grating the cheese. Just wait by the side for your number. Now, take your box to your car and eat. Do they have seating? Yes! Indoor and outdoor. But that’s not how you do Tito’s! You eat in your car! I am writing this review in my car right now 😀! Everyone at Tito’s is pleasant. Always a great experience.
To those that love these tacos sorry!! I don’t know why you like them!! They are super hard to bite on , the beef is questionable might be soy!! No flavor!! The burrito tasteless, the beans taste like dish soap! Yes you get free chips and salsa but same hard to eat!! I know it’s an LA staple, but for you tourists don’t waste your time nor money on this place!! You will be disappointed!! And I am from LA!! There are definitely better places to eat!! The lady taking the orders was also very rude!!
I’ve been coming here for years. My dad used to bring me and it was always good. Unfortunately, not anymore. Prices have gone up, which I get. But that doesn’t mean the quality should drop. $11.40 for a small burrito with barely any meat? The chips were cold and stale, and a large guacamole is $14! More than the burrito itself! Service was even worse. I came in at 7:30 and they were already cleaning. By 7:45 I was told I had 15 minutes left. I was almost done, but a couple behind me had just sat down and they were being rushed to finish. The employee was literally waiting at the side for us to leave so he could start cleaning around our table, which forced them to rush. They ended up leaving early because of it. That’s rude and disrespectful. Why not just wait until they’re done? What’s the urgency? If you don’t want people dining in after a certain time, say it clearly. Don’t keep selling until 8 and then rush customers or make them eat outside. We’re paying, not asking for free food. This place used to be good, but now it feels like they only care about money and closing fast. That’s how you lose customers, even loyal ones. I strongly suggest not coming here. *Picture below was taken at 7:55 PM
Food is good but not good as before. It used to be better quality and better portions. Prices used to be decent but now it’s outrageous. Portions have gotten smaller for the prices that have hiked up so much. It’s ridiculous. And to top it off the service is terrible. No more friendly service. Today was my last day here. I can’t come back to a place where I received one small bean burrito and 2 tacos, one watery guacamole for $30.
There is seating inside, yet parking is limited. The dining area was comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean. The meal was not worth the price. After I ate my vegan tamale meal, I was still hungry (EXPERT ADVICE: If you are going with another person, please do 2 separate orders, so you both can get a side of chips). Even though it was our first time there, the clerk who took our order didn't make us feel welcome or try to steer us towards good things to try on the menu. Now I know for myself what Tito's is all about.
