The Getty Museums are amazing! Been to both of them and they are beautiful, organized and have amazing works! The day I visited was a Friday and it was a bit noisy as there were many kids from several schools there. If you are looking for a more sedate time, maybe go during the weekend or when school is out. Enjoyed our time and will go back to see what we missed on another visit. You can't beat the free admission and the garage parking was $25. It was great to see children being exposed to the arts and their guides and teachers piquing their interest. A+ run organization and museum. Enjoy!

The Getty Center is such a unique and unforgettable art experience perched high on a mountain top overlooking Los Angeles. Getting there via the tram ride up the hill already feels special and sets the tone for the visit. This is actually my third time visiting, and every single time it feels even more memorable and unique than before. The combination of world-class art, striking modern architecture, and beautifully maintained gardens makes it a place you can keep coming back to. The drone view is absolutely breathtaking as well, seeing the entire complex set against the city and hills is truly spectacular. A great picture really is worth a thousand words. On top of everything, admission is free (you just need to reserve tickets in advance), which makes it even more incredible as a cultural experience.

A museum where the architecture, vistas and gardens are as stunning as the art exhibits. So enjoyable to admire the collections indoors and take a break on the balconies between the pavilions. Outstanding current exhibit on photography and the black arts movement. Note: $25 parking fee negates the free admission to the museum

What an incredible place! From the moment you hop on the tram and start climbing the hill, you know you’re in for something special. The views of Los Angeles are breathtaking, and the architecture itself is a work of art. Inside, the collection is phenomenal Van Gogh, Monet, Rembrandt, stunning manuscripts, sculptures, photography. We spent hours and still felt like we hadn’t seen everything. The gardens are a perfect place to slow down and take it all in. Hard to believe it’s free admission. Easily one of the best things to do in LA, whether you’re an art lover or just looking for a beautiful day out. Highly recommend!

The The Getty Center is, without a doubt, one of the most impressive cultural destinations in Los Angeles. Perched high above the city, the Getty Center offers breathtaking panoramic views of LA — from downtown to the Pacific Ocean on a clear day. Just getting there is part of the experience, as you ride the sleek tram up the hill to this stunning architectural masterpiece designed by Richard Meier. The museum itself is world-class. You’ll find an incredible collection of European paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, and photography. Seeing works by masters like Van Gogh, Rembrandt, and Monet in such a beautifully curated space makes the visit unforgettable. But what really sets the Getty apart is the atmosphere. The clean white architecture, open spaces, natural light, and perfectly designed gardens create a peaceful, almost surreal environment. The Central Garden alone is worth the visit — a living work of art that changes with the seasons. Best of all, admission is free (you only pay for parking), which makes the value absolutely unbeatable. If you’re visiting Los Angeles, this place is not just recommended — it’s essential. 👉 Check my profile for travel tips and hidden spots.
