Nice cosy venue. Staff all very nice. On a concert night rather than a club night, security wasn't overbearing. Sound system has the bass way too high, couldn't hear the music over the music standing in some places. Cloakroom charge for a winter coat was £3. Beer prices are not terrible for the area. £5.95 for a can. Get Brooklyn lager, the can was 440ml while Estrella was 330ml. Sadly there are no beer taps.
bouncer wasnt speaking clearly and asked my friend to stand on one foot. my friend thought she was getting pat down and just stood there saying okay. we were redirected to another bouncer who just told us to wait 20 mins. we did and saw another who told my friend to walk in a straight line and stand on one foot (which she did successfully) and still told us to wait 10 mins after speaking to female bouncer again. felt very humiliating and just a general inconvenience as she did follow instructions when asked CLEARLY and separately from other distracting noise of the queue. we ended up not going in after this encounter. have never seen anything like this from any london club. disappointed.
We arrived and the bouncer asked if we had tickets. I asked if at the door was still the same price as online. He answered that no, but that it wasn't good to buy online because it wouldn't work. We stepped back a bit and purchased the tickets online and came back. The same bouncer treated us bad and harsh with nonsense questions to find a reason to decline us. That was a turn off. We go out to enjoy. What's the point of doing that? This is not what house music is about. Totally off. Be nice, be kind!
The door management here severely needs a review. The staff member (not the bouncers) handling entry was highly unprofessional, and the selection process felt entirely biased and inappropriate rather than based on any actual venue policy. It gives both XOYO and Feel It a bad name
Great vibes, drinks prices marginally better than I thought too. Still were £6.10 or something for a 330ml can of beer.
