First of all the food was spectacular. Everything was moreish, the mussels in the butter sauce and the crispy bread soaked in it was a nice touch. There was a change from rump to sirloin on the day for our roasts and the flavours were there, the meat nice and pink. Confit potatoes amazing per usual. We ordered a bottle of melon de bourgogne which was light and crisp. What was a kind touch was a handwritten card with the signatures of the staff to commemorate the occasion. The only downside was the service, which was curt and abrupt most times and marginally friendly at best. At one point a server left mid conversation when I was complimenting the food without an apology. And these details matter in an establishment like this. When service slowed it was difficult to find someone to ask for the bill.

Quality Chop House remains a London institution and consistently excellent. Having visited in 2023 and again this April, the experience is always top-tier. • The Food: A must for meat lovers. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the crispy potatoes are essential. • The Vibe: Great decor and atmosphere. It’s intimate, so booking in advance is usually required (I got lucky with a same-day cancellation). • Good to Know: Steaks take 40–60 minutes to arrive, so it’s a relaxed meal. The wine and cocktail list is premium and on the pricier side, but worth it for the quality. I have also been for the roast which is great, and would also recommend. Perfect for a special occasion. Highly recommend!

I had lunch without reservation and they were able to find me seating. I had the set menu and a house soft drink. Great service. Good interesting food. The set menu changes every 2 weeks and this menu looked interesting. I enjoyed the salad. The fish was quite meaty and the dessert was great. My drink was also really refreshing. Relaxed, comfortable atmosphere as well.

The food was absolutely delicious across the board. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection, but the halibut was a real surprise star , the texture was incredible and the sauce it came with was so well balanced. Of course, I have to talk about the confit roast potatoes. They are honestly legendary for a reason! They look like tiny, golden lemon drizzle cakes, but they are probably the best alternative roasties I have ever put in my mouth. Crispy, salty, and just pure magic. The sourdough bread was some of the best I have had in any restaurant, perfect crust and a lovely tang. And whatever you do, please make sure you save some room for dessert. The olive oil ice cream is a must-try; it is such a simple idea but the sweet and salty combination is so moorish you will want a second bowl. On the service side, the staff were fantastic. They were warm, professional, and really made our night feel special. Nothing was too much trouble, which is exactly what you want when you are out with a group. While the quality of the ingredients and the level of skill in the kitchen are clear, the prices are definitely on the higher side. Some of the plates felt a little bit light for the cost, It might be worth slightly bumping up the portion sizes on those plates to make the value for money feel as top-tier as the flavour. That being said, the quality really does deliver on the plate. It is a brilliant spot for a special occasion or a treat for any fellow foodie. Highly recommended! It is a bit of a splurge, but for the history, the service, and those potatoes alone, it is 100% worth a visit.
