Flat Iron Covent Garden is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is buzzing, yet the service remains impressively personal. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel like regulars rather than just another table in a busy shift. A standout highlight was the immediate arrival of a complimentary mug of popcorn, a quirky, thoughtful touch that kept us happily occupied while we browsed the menu. Of course, we came for the beef, and it did not disappoint. The signature flat iron steak was perfectly cooked to a flawless medium-rare. It was incredibly tender, seasoned with just the right amount of salt, and possessed that rich, savory crust that only comes from expert searing. For the price point, the quality of the meat is genuinely staggering. The "cherry on top" isn't actually a cherry, it’s the free salted caramel ice cream at the end of the meal. Handing over your little cleaver token for a freshly planed cone of creamy goodness is a brilliant bit of theater. It’s delicious, indulgent, and reinforces the feeling that Flat Iron genuinely cares about the guest experience from start to finish. Great vibes, exceptional steak, and those "extra mile" touches that make a meal memorable. I’ll definitely be back.

I truly appreciated the attention to detail throughout the experience. Even waiting at the bar for about half an hour before getting our table turned out to be enjoyable and highlighted how vibrant and in-demand the restaurant is. Thoughtful touches like the popcorn served with the drinks and the ice cream offered on the way out did not go unnoticed. The food was very tasty overall. My only suggestion would be to moderate the pace of the service slightly — it felt a bit rushed at times, giving off a fast-food-style table turnover atmosphere rather than a relaxed dining experience.

Have visited this steakhouse chain a few times now, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is always fantastic, and the restaurant layout and decor are beautifully done with spacious seating. One of the best highlights is the complimentary free-flow snack that you can refill endlessly😍both adults and kids absolutely love it! For the steaks, they offer a wide range of choices; while the quality varies depending on the price point you choose, I find the average quality to be very decent and solid. The most fun part has to be at the end, where you can exchange your little steak marker for an ice cream! It’s such a creative and interesting touch that both adults and children enjoy. Staff are friendly, and the service is great. It gets quite crowded, but given the overall excellent experience, it’s definitely worth a visit for families!

The steak was delicious and full of flavor, although one piece was a bit chewy. The service was excellent and the staff were absolutely lovely. The mashed potatoes were incredibly smooth and creamy. Great atmosphere and location overall — definitely not a place to miss.

Visited the Flat Iron in Covent Garden on a Tuesday evening. Even though it was a weekday, we still had to wait for about 15 minutes. Funnily enough, they seated us downstairs where it was actually quite spacious and empty, so I’m not entirely sure why there was a wait—but hey, at least we got to enjoy our meal in a nice, quiet space! Flat Iron is a super famous chain in the UK, but this was my first time back in 3-4 years. I was so happy to find that the taste hasn't changed at all—still absolutely delicious! I ordered my steak medium-rare, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. In fact, my friend had just visited another Flat Iron branch two days ago and loved it so much that they insisted on coming again with me! For sides, we got the crispy bone marrow garlic mash and creamed spinach. For sauces, the staff recommended the peppercorn and wild mushroom. I went with the wild mushroom, and my friend tried the homemade smoked chilli mayo. Both were great! To be honest, I still think a simple dip in salt is the best way to enjoy this steak, so the sauce wasn't strictly necessary—but it was my first time trying their sauces, and they were surprisingly tasty. Also, I’m not 100% sure if the ice cream flavors vary by location, but the Covent Garden branch served this coffee-flavored ice cream coated in dark chocolate shavings... and oh my god, it was LEGENDARY. 😭❤️ I would honestly come back just for the ice cream alone. It was the absolute highlight of the night!
